The Ontario Review Board has legal jurisdiction over persons charged with criminal offences but found unfit to stand trial or not criminally responsible due to mental health disorders. Issues of mental health pose special legal challenges. The Board determines their treatment plan, sentencing, rehabilitation and eventual re-integration back into mainstream community.
